You don't need a visa for Turkey, you can stay 3 months. The border crossing from Iran took hours, to Greece it was very easy
Money
There's a very high inflation. When I entered the country 1 U$ =159000 TL, 1 month later it was already 166000 Tl. In every medium size city there are ATM.
Roads
Some roads are very good, some a bit less. Climbs are usually very steep.
Traffic
Around Istanbul too much. The rest of the country is o.k.
Accomodation
There are lot's of small guesthouses in Turkey, specially in the region with many tourists (that's almost everywhere in Turkey. It's possible to camp as well.
Food
Kebab and turkish pizza.
People
As in Iran I was invited to drink tea all the time.
Language
Turkish. But many Turks speak German.
Bicycle parts
You can find everything in Istanbul. In the rest of the country you'll find a lot as well
Dangers
In the east, you still might have problems with the police, that wont let you pass everywhere, because of the PKK.
